The peroxide mix that works. Never tomato juice — it only masks it.

1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide + 1/4 cup baking soda + 1 tsp dish soap. Mix fresh, work in (avoid eyes), rinse fast (it bleaches). Tomato juice is a myth.

Name: Hydrogen peroxide 3 percent
Why: The active ingredient. Buy a fresh bottle — it loses potency on the shelf.
Name: Dog safe degreasing shampoo
Why: For the second wash, after the peroxide mix.
Name: Microfibre drying towel
Why: This is a multi-towel event.
Free first: Baking soda and dish soap are the other two ingredients and you already have them.
What to skip: Tomato juice. It masks the smell and does nothing to the compound causing it.
